The Testing Process

1. Explosive Atmosphere Test

   • Purpose: Ensure the heater operates safely without igniting a surrounding flammable gas mixture.
   • Procedure:
     • The heater is placed in a chamber filled with a propane-air mixture (4.75% ± 0.25% propane by volume).
     • The unit is cycled on and off 50 times, simulating real-world use.
     • Throughout the test, sensors monitor for ignition events.
   • Result: Xtreme Heaters pass every time, proving their ability to operate safely even in environments with flammable vapors​.

2. Water Submergence Test

   • Purpose: Ensure the heater’s electrical components remain sealed and safe from water intrusion.
   • Procedure:
     • The heater is submerged in water for 15 minutes, simulating exposure to moisture or bilge water.
     • The unit is inspected post-test for any signs of water intrusion.
   • Result: No water intrusion is detected, confirming the heater’s robust and sealed design​.

   • Purpose: Verify that the heater maintains safe surface and internal temperatures during operation.
   • Procedure: Heaters are tested under maximum load to ensure they do not reach ignition temperatures for flammable gases.
