I have purchased this item 2 weeks ago and every day when I check on it. The heater is running but I don't know if it turns off cause I don't stay there Long enough to find out because the water Is frozen. The weather is cold and I still have to monitor it and check the temperature 1st in the engine area. If all is well in 2 more weeks I would let you know, and give you a 5 Stars rating. Thank you

We would love to see this turned around for you and make sure the heat is facing the transom and back of the motor to combat the cold coming in from the out drive unit. As for the fresh air vents, we recommend covering them to prevent drawing in cold air or letting the heat escape like a chimney. We hope that the heater works well for you once the weather improves. This is my first Xtreme heater. I'm using it on a 27 foot Carver Yacht dual engine bilge. So far so good.
I have one on my boat that has worked great for years. I got another one to use in my pickup to keep the cab above freezing and the windows clear during winter. It's nice to get into a 40-50 degree truck when it's in the teens outside!
The medium 600W heater is perfect for my 23’ wakeboard boat here at 5,000’ above sea level. It’s the only heater that I will trust to protect my overpriced toy! I have tried other heaters from other manufactures but nothing compares to Xtreme heaters! The quality, efficiency, and customer service is the best! Thank you!
