We have only had the heater for one week but it is working as designed. Our small RV is stored in an unheated building for the winter. We wanted a heater that is safe to leave on to keep the interior above freezing throughout the winter. The heater is expensive but, after watching videos and reading material, it has high quality components and safety feature that are well worth the cost. So far the interior is warm and comfortable and the heater cycles on an off as intended.

Bought the 800 watt heater for a water well house heater, it has been awesome and saved my but once all ready when I thought it quit in freeze cold temps, but it was the breaker that I had it on that went bad instead, replaced the breaker in the panel and got the heater back on and it kept everything from freezing and busting during that whole ordeal and then ran non stop for probably 24 hours and never skipped a beat. Kept the non-insolated well house well above freezing just not warm enough to shut down for that 24 hours as everything had to thaw and warm back up, but never had a problem after all of that, 18° outside right now and 49° in the well house with a very cold wind chill of 7°. Customer service was the best I have seen in a long time, answered every question I had before I bought it and recommended what he thought I should get and gave explanations of why.

I bought 2 heaters they were life savers , had trouble with freezing pipes in my new rv , the other was put in my shed in water filter space ,that was the end of water pipes freezing, very Happy I found this product,thanks H Pena

My boat is winterized, but what about the bilge pump? This overbuilt heater provides inexpensive peace of mind. Best purchase since my bilge sipper!

This is my first Xtreme heater. I'm using it on a 27 foot Carver Yacht dual engine bilge. So far so good.

This heater is bullet proof! We have had single digit cold temps and no frozen pipes! I have insulated with 1" Styrofoam around the bottom for wind and to try to hold the temperatures up but this heater is running like a champ on the thermostat. Even with very wet conditions while installed on the ground, no issues! Great heater, super over built to last for sure.

We received a new heater a few weeks ago and are using to keep our RV that is in storage safe. So far it’s working great! It’s wonderful how it turns on when needed and off when the temp gets to proper temp. So far so good!

Purchased to keep my storage bay in my small RV above freezing. Works great - auto on and off keeps bay between 38 - 50 in 12 degree temps

2 x 800w extreme heaters, 1 heater in my engine bilge and 1 heater in my cabin which is open to wheelhouse on my 42’ northern bay. I’m seeing 40 degrees up to 55 degrees in both areas with 8 degrees weather conditions outside. She’s in the water for the winter.

I have used Xtreme's bilge heater in my Yacht's engine room for 18 years with great success! 3 years ago I needed to get a new cabin heater to supplement my furnace in really cold weather. I researched Xtreme found their new cabin heater so I immediately purchased one. This year when commissioning it, I was having some issues. I called Xtreme to get their advice...they immediately sent me a new one! Service like that deserves commendation!

I have one on my boat that has worked great for years. I got another one to use in my pickup to keep the cab above freezing and the windows clear during winter. It's nice to get into a 40-50 degree truck when it's in the teens outside!

My "Well House" is actually a shed from a big box store. This heater keeps the whole shed above freezing, protecting the pipes and pressure tank from freezing. I tried this after multiple failures of heat tape over the years. Since I store some of my lawn equipment and gas in the shed as well, the ignition protection aspect of these heaters give me peace of mind.

This winter, I decided to try something new to protect the batteries and electronic steering in my pontoon boat from freezing. Normally, I’ve had to replace my two batteries every year when the temperatures drop, which gets expensive. To prevent that, I installed an Xtreme Heaters 400W heater under the back seat where the batteries are located. I also added a battery charger in the same area.

So far, it’s working great! We’ve had some days below 20 degrees, and the batteries are holding up perfectly. As a bonus, this setup also keeps the steering assist components, gas filter, and other parts under the seat from freezing, which gives me peace of mind.

This might not be the typical use for an Xtreme Heater, but it’s been a game-changer for me. I’m also planning to add a second heater under the boat cover to keep the interior above freezing. I believe this will help prevent the leather seats and other materials from freezing, reducing unnecessary wear over time.

I wanted to share my experience in case it helps other pontoon owners think about creative ways to protect their boats during the winter.
